I have spoken to a few people at the Troy Hills Starbucks about returning to our regularly scheduled venue/their community room. Covid Restrictions are lifted. I will speak to the manager, but before then, contact me if you are sincerely interested in joining the ASL study group. |

GROUP HISTORY
Jackie Hecht learned sign Language through her 30+ year association with her beloved friend and instructor, the late Michael "Qaz" Crafferty. Crafferty was hard of hearing and attended Gallaudet University, a school dedicated to deaf studies in Washington D.C.
Crafferty was deaf in one ear due to a collision where his nerves became damaged.
He was "Qaz" always to his friends and was generous with his time and teaching.
Susan Lewis also attended Gallaudet and continued her studies with "Qaz" while her son, Joshua Lewis, has learned from her and the group.
Update, we are deeply saddened and heartbroken to say that 2022,
was a year of loss for us. We bid a tearful Goodbye to Joshua Lewis who was a wonderful human being, who brought love and laughter wherever he went.
He will be missed.
